1. Tell us a bit about yourself. How long have you been a stylist?
I have been a stylist for thirteen years, but have been playing with hair for as long as I can remember.
2. What made you want to become a hair stylist? When did you know it was your passion?
From a very young age I always knew what I wanted to do and it has always been my passion. I am lucky to have a lot of women in my family. As a child I would use family get togethers as an opportunity to style all of their hair.
3. What are you best at?
What I find I’m best at is doing transformations. It is really fun and exciting and rewarding to have the opportunity to give someone a look that makes them feel great about themselves. I am also good about matching a feeling to the style of hair. Whether you just started a job and need to be more professional but still want to maintain your free spirit or a woman who just had a baby and doesn’t want to have a mom haircut. I am able to understand what the client wants and give her what she wants and works best to make her feel her best!
4. What do you think is the best part about your job?
I get to have fun all day
5. What is your favorite service to do on clients?
Well I would say I have two. I really enjoy cutting hair. I see it as a puzzle and I love that. I have to figure out what you want, what looks best on you and what your hair will or won’t do. Also, I have to figure out how often you are willing to maintain it. Then I also love dimensional color or even formulation. It’s fun to design them. I love figuring out what colors compliment your skin tone and playing around with where they go in the hair. I look at it like I’m coloring in a book and I can choose any color or as many as I want.

In my free time, my time is spent working out because I consider because I consider myself a foodie and love trying new places to eat. I also meditate and love spending time in nature. I feel it's necessary to find the time in silence and wind down my brain and observe. I also enjoy walking around the city, people watch and look at store fronts. I find it helps to see what is trending in terms of fashion and hair.
